Pantry Legends

About Pantry Legends

Pantry Legends is an original food card game. Names, UI, art, and code are original to this project.

Drop rates & pack odds

This section discloses how Pantry packs are rolled. Packs are free, limited by a server-side cooldown (4 hours), and granted only by the server. There is no real-money purchase of packs or cards in this product. Figures below are generated from the live game rules and catalog so they stay aligned with what the game actually rolls.

Pack structure

  • Each pack contains exactly 5 cards.
  • Cards are drawn from the ingredient and technique pools only. Dishes are never packed; they are cooked from owned cards.
  • Rolls are independent per slot. Within a chosen rarity tier, each eligible catalog card is equally likely (uniform random).

Slot table

SlotRarity rollHow the card is picked
1Fixed Common (100%)Uniform among 22 common cards
2Fixed Common (100%)Uniform among 22 common cards
3Fixed Common (100%)Uniform among 22 common cards
4Fixed Uncommon (100%)Uniform among 16 uncommon cards

Chase slot weights

Slot 5 picks a rarity with these relative weights (sum 100). Implementation: draw U ~ Uniform(0, 100) and walk the cumulative table.

RarityWeightProbabilityPool sizeP(specific card | tier)
Rare8282%10 (7 ing · 3 tech)8.200%
Epic1515%4 (2 ing · 2 tech)3.750%
Legendary33%2 (1 ing · 1 tech)1.500%

Example: P(a specific Legendary card in the chase slot) = 3% × 1/2 = 1.500% per pack.

Shiny rates

Live on every pack pull. Shiny is not legendary-only: any card can be shiny. After a card is chosen, a second independent server roll uses P(shiny | tier). Joint chase odds: P(tier) × P(shiny | tier).

RarityP(shiny | tier)OddsP(shiny ∩ tier) in chaseP(shiny ∩ tier) in fixed slot
Common0.781%1/128— (not in chase)0.781% of that slot
Uncommon1.042%1/96— (not in chase)1.042% of that slot

Epic3.125%1/320.469%3.125% of that slot
Legendary6.250%1/160.188%6.250% of that slot

Example: P(Legendary shiny in chase) = 3% × 1/16 = 0.188% per pack (~1 in 533 packs). Epic shiny chase ≈ 0.469%; Rare shiny chase ≈ 1.281%.

Catalog pools by rarity

Fixed slots use the same uniform pick within their tier.

Other rules that affect collecting

  • Cooldown: 4 hours between packs for the same account, enforced on the server.
  • Duplicates: Allowed. Extra copies increase your stack quantity; they do not change drop rates.
  • Cooking: Dish cards are crafted by spending the required ingredient/technique copies. Cooking is deterministic once you own the recipe cards — it is not a random pack pull.
  • Shiny variants: Any rarity. Packs roll shinies; cooking lets you spend them for a dish shine grade. Battle needs 3+ dishes; each shine raises the printed number by 10%.

Shiny variants

Shiny is a second face for any rarity — not legendary-only. Packs roll shiny ingredients/techniques (see Shiny rates). When you cook, you choose how many shiny copies to spend; the dish keeps a shine grade (✦×1, ✦×2, …). In battle, each shine raises that dish's printed number by 10% — so ✦×3 is +30% on the number you compare. Battles need at least three cooked dishes: you draw a hand of five, then play Opening, Main (ace), and Close one round at a time. Optionally Plate by burning a same-cuisine partner from your hand.
